Trying to identify children of James McCALL, son of Thomas and Margaret McCALL of Reedy's Creek, Mecklenburg Co., N.C. In 1775 he was deeded land by his father. In 1804 James and his son, Thomas, sold the land. The 1790 census shows a household of 2 males over 16, 2 under 16, and 4 females. Also, interested in the other early McCalls of Mecklenburg County including a somewhat older James McCALL who lived on the Catawba River and in the 1780's is found across the line in York Co., S.C.
