Zebulon Vance Taylor was the son of Columbus Washington Taylor and Mariah Dalton. Z V Taylor married Effie Scales. He was the President of the Southern Public Utilities (now Duke Energy) and did die in April 1921. He lived in Charlotte, NC at the time but died in route to New York City on a train car owned by James Buchannon Duke.

If this is the Zebulon Vance Taylor that you are referring to .... he is my grandfather's (Moses Berry Taylor)1st cousin. Zebulon Vance Taylor and Effie Scales did not have any children. His sister Elizabeth Taylor married a Dr Edwards and no children were born to this couple either. As far as I know this is correct. Looking forward to hearing from you.
