Trying to connect the families mentioned above.
I found a Winifred Crisp/Chrisp who was married to an unknown Gibbs.
Winifred would have lived in the late 1700s and early1800s since her father William Manson Chrisp/Crisp was dead by 1790.
They lived in or around Martin County, NC.
Winifred was one of 18 children of William Manson Crisp/Chrisp!!!!
I have seen their names spelled both ways.
It seems that William had 10 children with his first wife ?
and 8 children with his second wife. Second wife's name was Francis. Some think her maiden name to be Pierce/Pearce.
I do not know this to be a fact.
Then, there is a Whitley Gibbs that lived in Martin County according to the 1810 and 1830 census records.
Are they all related somehow?
