I am related to the Guffey's of Macon County. Edgar N. Guffey was my great-grandfather. His family originated in Rutherford County, NC and settled on Jones Creek west of Franklin, NC. His brother Sam lived in the Watagua section and I am currently in touch with Sam's relatives. Some of them are planning a get-together this July, 2012 to search the area cemeteries (Watagua, Mt.
