Descendants of John Parker Moore, born in Virginia about 1765 and died in Macon County, NC, about 1855, are holding annual reunion July 19, 2003, at Coonhunters Association, Prentis Bridge Road, Franklin. Covered dish lunch at noon, followed by discussion groups, particularly one about JPM's father, who at this point in time, is unknown, although there as some good suspects.

I descend from JPM through his son, Tavener. Your "discussion groups" sound like a wonderful idea.
