My Great-grandmother was Annie Mae Guy. Her Father was Buck or Bush Guy according to her death certificate. SHe was born in North Carolina, and married a Walter Blackman Phillips. Walter is not burried with Annie, which leads me to consider the possibility that he may be buried wherever they came from. They are both definitely of American Indian genetics, according to their own testimony and looks. If anyone can help me locate this family before their move to South Carolina, revealing their family origins (early ancestors / Indian - European - Other nationalities) I have searched high and low for this part of my family with no avail until someone gave me a heads-up about the Guys in Macon being Catawba.
