Have you tried searching in Orange Co., NC. I do believe I've
seen the "Guy" name while searching for my NC Ancestors,
the Whitmores. I'd try the Copernic.com search engine and
then type in the inquiry space Guy Orange Co., NC. Also
I do find the name William Guy in an article "Why I Search
both Native & Melungeon Lines at www.angelfire.com/wv2/dillon1944/introduction.....
maybe just search on angelfire.com would do it. Anyway I'm
sure your Guy's and my Whitmores must have intermarried
with the Saponi indians found in an area known as the
"Piedmont" in the late 1700's and up through the 1870's.
