My ancestor (Jacob Forney) has PS as his rank during the war.
Does anyone know what this stands for?
He was too old to fight, but was held POW in his home. In addition to that, he spent time in the local governement, signing papers of their intent on what to do if they weren't allowed their freedoms, etc, and let it be known that they would only continue being under King George if he would stop over taxing, and whatever else was going on prior to the war. DAR has approved Jacob, but I just can't figure out what PS means!
