I can find no evidence of James Riley Lee's death. He would have died between 1910 (was on this census)and 1918 when his wife, Mittie F. (Holt) Lee re-married to Andrew Bradley. We know that James Riley Lee lived and worked (for the railroad) in Rowan County at some point. We heard he was "killed in a train accident". A draft registration card has a James Riley Lee who signed it on Sept 12, 1918 showing a Mrs. Civil A. Lee as his next of kin in Pine Level NC and stating he had some "paralysis of stroke". There is also a death certificate with date of death 1949 which I do not believe to be our James Riley Lee as none of us met him and would have if he had lived till then - UNLESS he and Mittie divorced before 1918, and we have neither seen nor heard anything to indicate that. If there is ANY family member of this Civil A. Lee who can shed light on James Riley Lee beyond the 1910 census, I would greatly appreciate it. He was my husband's maternal grandfather. Thank you! Cathy
