Thank you Nancy!!!!!!! Yes, this IS the right Mittie and that helps greatly!!! She and Andrew had their first child Jan 1920 so I figured they married about 1918 or 1919. I know her first husband, James Riley Lee, was living as head of their household on the 1910 Census (he was age 34 then) so figured he died between then and 1918. Now if I can just find out WHEN he died and WHERE he is buried, I will be so pleased. I am wondering if he and Mittie lived in Spencer where he supposedly worked for the railroad before he died and possibly died in that area but can't find anything to substantiate that.

Would you be so kind as to send me the URL link where you found the marriage of Mittie & Andrew so I can pull it up and print out a copy for my records??? I so appreciate your reply!!

Don't guess you are kin.....my husband's Smiths are descendants of John Whitfield Smith from Johnston County.
Thanks in advance for the URL of Mittie/Andrew marriage.
