I have hit a brick wall with Vardie Sneed whom was born in Tennessee 12-10-1889 and married Ida M. Dyer of Jackson North Carolina, daughter of William Lewis & Clarissa Evelyn Mitchell. They are in the census together in 1920 as living Scotts Creek, Jackson, North Carolina. Vardie died 08-28-1960 & Ida 1932 in Jackson North Carolina. They had the following children:

James Charlie Sneed b.1918-?
Virgie Pauline Sneed b.1920-2002 m. Lonnie Lee Austin (1916-1982)
Robert Jetter Sneed b.1923-
John Sneed b.1925-1996 m. Della May Bryson (1927-1961)

I believe he was married to Grace & Minnie Mills before he married Ida Dyer.
I also think his mother is Mary Coner.
