Lambert Clayton died in Henderson County, although it would presently be in Transylvania County. He had many early deeds in then Buncombe County. Trying to determine when he moved to western North Carolina and exactty where he first lived. He is on the Iredell County census in 1790 and is appointed a Justice of the Peace of the first court in Buncombe County in April 1792. His early deeds may have been in present day Henderson County. Lambert was married to Sarah Davidson Clayton.
