I'm a bit confounded by this cemetery listing on my g-grandmother's death certificate. It's about twenty miles (bird's eye) from where she lived and as far as I know the rest of her family is buried in Enfield. There is also a "Hardee" Cemetery in Enfield, however it has already been scouted and we do not believe she's buried there.

If she had a tombstone it would probably be marked as Maggie Hardy (born Maggie Silver). She is listed as "Maggie Hardy" on her death certificate with the informant being an "Andrew Hardy" whom I assume was her third husband. She died in 1955, and I have no information about Andrew Hardy other than the fact that they lived in Enfield at the time of her death (Rt. 3).

It looks like a private family cemetery and it's located on Ark Lane close to Roseneath, but the street is considered to be in Scotland Neck for postal purposes.

Any information about Andrew Hardy or who may be buried in that cemetery would be helpful. I have been having a hard time determining where exactly she and her mother are buried, and if I find one I think the other would be nearby.

Hi there,
It sounds like you're talking about Maggie Bryant Silver, dau/of John Henry Willis Silver & Katie Bryant. I show that she was married to Andrew J. Hardy (1890-1956) son of Plummer Hardy & Cherry Batchelor. Andrew apparently remarried again after Maggie died because his death certificate shows he was married to an Annie. Andrew's d/c shows that he was buried at Hardy Cemetery (first showed Pleasant Hill, but was crossed out)N.W. 10 miles Enfield, NC, so perhaps he was buried near Maggie.

Yes, that's the same Maggie.

I think I need to drive out there again and take a look around. Thanks, Deloris! I had zero info on him, so that's really helpful.
