COLFAX - Nancy Bull Mabe, 65, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, went to heaven Saturday, July 1, 2006, comfortably from her residence at 8650 Bull Road after a two-month battle with cancer.

She was born in her home Nov. 13, 1940, to the late Jessie and Venice King Bull.

Her sister, Shirley Bull, preceded Nancy in death.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Eugene Mabe; two daughters, Andrea and her husband, Landon Purgason, and Renee and her husband, Cheikh Gueye; two grandchildren, Krista and Miranda Purgason; and a brother, Arthur Bull.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home. A private memorial service at home will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice of Greensboro, 2502 summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405. The family wants to make a special thank you to Dawn and Kurt Snow and other family members for their support.
