In August 1849 THOMAS M. GARDNER married EDITH PACE in Guilford Co., NC. Bondsman was a Jonathan B. GARDNER, probably a relative.

EDITH PACE was an orphan in Aug. 1841 and apprenticed by the court to a David C. Sullivan, probably a farmer or a spinner/weaver. At the time of her apprenticing she was said to be age 13 on 6-21-1841.
