John W. Morisey was my great-grandfather. He lived in Winston Salem from at least 1899 (maybe earlier) until his death in 1904. He worked for Morisey & Co Wholesale Brokers, 205 E. 4th St., the Winston depot of Arbuckle Brothers of New York City. The family story was that he was murdered when he was robbed in a hotel room (maybe in New York). We have an invoice for upkeep on a burial plot in Salem Cemetery (from H. S. Foy, I think), so he is buried there. I don't know where he was from, who his parents were, or anything else about him. Looking for any info that would help.
