KERNERSVILLE Peggy Collins Mabe May 19, 1937 - May 15, 2012 Peggy Collins Mabe, 74, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Peggy was born May 19, 1937 in Stokes County to the late Walter and Hadgie Neal Collins.

She retired from AMP after 25 years of service.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Mabe; four sisters and one brother.

Surviving are one son, Larry Mabe (LuAnne) of Lexington; one daughter, Melissa Eaton of Kernersville; one brother, Cecil Collins (Ann) of Oak Ridge; one sister, Anna Wray of Kernersville; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. A private entombment will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for their care of Peggy with a special thanks to Roxanne Rothrock and Dr. Kim Kinsley.
