ELKIN - Mr. Harold Clifton Davis, age 86, of 184 Carter Mill Road, Elkin, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Mr. Davis was born in Forsyth County on October 16, 1922 to the late Allison Henry Davis and Vertie Stoker Davis.

He was a graduate of Elkin High School, and served in the Army and Army Air Corp' s during World War II. He owned and operated North Elkin Radio and TV Service for 42 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elkin.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Grace Hurt Davis of Elkin; three children, Susan Davis of Winston-Salem, Allen Davis and wife, Jeanie of Wilkesboro, Charles Davis and wife, Katherine of Ft. Collins, Colorado; grandchildren, Anthony Clifton Davis of Wilkesboro, Andrea Melissa Triplett and husband, Matthew of Winston-Salem.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, 3 p.m., July 25, 2009 at Johnson Funeral Home by Dr. Chuck Baker. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of the donor' s choice. Johnson Funeral Home of Elkin is serving the Davis Family.
