Timothy La'monds Jackson, known as "T.J.," was born April 24, 1989, to Timothy and Nedra Jackson. He was called home to be with God on Monday, Feb. 16, 2004. T.J. attended North Forsyth High School.
He was a member of New Direction Movement Cathedral and a former member of Union Baptist Church, where he grew up in the Sunday-school department. He played football for the Tiny Vikings and also played basketball for Reynolds Park Recreation G Unit.
He leaves to mourn, his mother and father; a sister, Anglis D. Weaks; two brothers, Clamon Kinard Weaks and Stephan Darcelle Commodore; two grandmothers, Pricilla D. Weaks and Rosa Eskridge; three grandfathers, Herman Bryan, Ervin Shoulders and Larry Carson; a godparent, Lisa Leftwick; two godbrothers, Rayshawn Terry and A.J. Highsmith; three uncles, Clamon (Sonya) Weaks, Stephon Lyons and Frank Lyons; an aunt, Temika Lyons; two great-grandmothers, Melvin Bryan and Katie Jackson; 25 great-aunts and great-uncles; two devoted cousins and best friends, Tishawn and Terreze Weaks; three dedicated cousins, Temika Black, Tawana Wilson and Terrica Weaks; three generations of cousins and loved ones, the Jacksons, Weaks and Bryans; and a special cousin, Terrica Weaks.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Essie McCullough. Family visitation will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Gilmore Funeral Home Services.
