Have you come across a Captain William Blount?
He had a company of men in the War of 1812.
According to my notes Captain William Blount was in charge of a group of soldiers who left Hyde County December 23rd, 1813 to go to Ocracoke and then to Charleston, SC.
Maybe he was related to your Warren Blount?
