I believe this JOHN BRYAN may be the father of my POLLY (MARY?) BRYAN (1784-1843) who was married to JOHN SMITH (of the German Schmidt line in Rowan Co.) John Smith was born in 1780 and died in 1812; at his death POLLY BRYAN SMITH remarried JACOB WEANT.
