DEATH OF MRS DOVIE GRIFFITH

Mrs Dovie GRIFFITH died at her home in Davie county,
near the Iredell line, on the Yadkin river Wednesday
morning at 3:00, aged 75 years. Mrs GRIFFITH had been wearing away for two months from an attack of grippe and her death was not unexpected. Her husband died about 30 years ago and eight children, three sons and five daughters, survive her. She was the mother of Mrs J C Turner, of Statesville, and the sister of John B Holman
of Cool spring. Two sisters living in Davie and Rowan counties also survive. She will be buried at Society church in this county to day at 11:00
