I have Forsyth/Davidson county ties to the Hedgecock family throught several family connections. My great grandfather married Beulah Hedgecock in 1840 and her sister Phoebe in 1850.

I am very much interested in the early membership lists for Abbott's Creek Primitive Baptist Church. My ancestor, Thompson Smith, came down from Oxford Township, NJ and settled near, what is now, Sedge Garden area. As this area was already well settled in the mid 1770s, and as he joined the church, I think that either family or friends directed him and family to settle in the area. Membership lists might allow me to find his lineage.
