I am looking for more info on DANIEL WARD of Columbus Co, NC b. abt 1832, d. 1864 from wounds received in battle at Drewry's Bluff, VA, mar. SUSANNAH NOBLES b. abt 1828 d. abt 1906. SUSANNAH is buried in HINSON'S Cemetery, a small family cemetery on Co. Rd. 1317. They were listed in the 1850 census with no children yeet, but had a ARCHIBALD NOBLES (possibly SUSANNAH'S brother?) living with them. DANIEL was listed as 18 and SUSANNAH as 22. DANIEL and SUSANNAH had the following children: (the first 4 are from the 1860 census- Daniel is from mar. register to MINNIE and from 1880 census. MARY ANN is from mar. reg. and "the People of Columbus Co - A study of the 800 families in 1850)
1. UNKNOWN WARD b.abt 1848 (Is this a child of DANIEL and SUSANNAH or a brother to DANIEL? His age seems to high to be a son and was listed at the bottom of the family group)

3. CATHARINE WARD b. abt 1855
4. UNKNOWN WARD b. abt 1856
5. MARY ANN WARD b. 4 Apr 1961 mar. JOHSUA NOBLES b. 13 Feb 1858. (Both are buried at China Grove Ceme and had donated the land that the cemetery is on. If my research is correct, MARY ANN married her UNCLE (her grandmother RENA NOBLES brother).
6. DANIEL J. WARD b. abt 1864 d. 21 May 1949(from Dan's death certificate), mar.3 Feb 1887 MINNIE NOBLES b. abt 1869 d. abt 1902 after giving birth to PAUL ALFRED WARD.
