William Martin Married Sophia Carver daughter of Aiden Carver. Their children were Aden, Jacob, Clarissa, Sarah, Riley, Dinah Edna, John, Zebulon Vance, Robert, Alexander, Thomas Jefferson, and maybe an Eliza although I have not confirmed that yet. Thomas Jefferson Martin married Anna Elizabeth Clontz, it is spelled Claunce, and Clannce in various Clay County records. They were married in JB Mease's home 22 Aug 1886. Their children were Eva, William Carrie, Lena, Minnie, Alice, Arthur,and James . Contact me and I will send you my file on Martins of Clay County. I have traced all of William and Sophia's childen and have a lot of information that I can share. I see that several trees posted show Robert and Fanny as William's parents, but I cannot confirm, and mothers age isn't compatible. Clay County has a great website with marriage information on it. You will find most of William and Sophia's children and their children's marriages . William was my gggrandfather and Alexander Martin was my ggrandfather.

I am nedding information on william riley martin's father and grandfather. he was born in burke co nc. I beleive his father and grandfather possibly were from wilkes co nc. would love to get their names. beleive that william riley's ggrandfather is peirre martain in which was born in france but first settled in virginia. any help would be appreciated.
