According to Delayed Birth Certificate info., Nancy Ruth CORNWELL was born July 13, 1903 in Cherokee Co., North Carolina. She was the daughter of Rev. Richard Columbus CORNWELL [1867-1949] and his first wife, Lottie ABERNATHY [1899-1906]. She was enumerated as a child in the household of her father and his second wife, Roxie Anna MCDONALD [1920 CENSUS-CHEROKEE CO., NC]. Dockerys of Dixie, 2nd Ed. reported their marriage year as 1926 and their children as: 1) Ernest, 2) Robert, 3) Johnnie, 4) Bonnie Mae, 5) Betty.
