ALSEY/ALSA PACE (b.abt. 1776) married ZILPHA HALL (b.1800 in Chatham Co., NC); this marriage took place in Johnston Co., NC in 1820.
A Zilpha Pace turns up in Guilford Co., NC by 1840 without Alsey Pace. I believe their children were: Abner (b.1821), Needham, Young, Wiseman, Geo. Washington, Edy, and Lively (although I am not sure of all of these). They were listed as orphan apprentices in Guilford beginning in 1837 with my 16-year-old Abner Pace. By 1843 Abner Pace had married and went to Rowan Co. By mid-1850s Needham Pace and Young Pace had gone to Mecklenburg Co., NC, taking with them the elderly Zilpha Pace and her "idiotic" youngest son David Pace.
I would like information on Zilpha Hall Pace if anyone knows anything. She may have had some relationship to an adult David Pace, who was in Chatham Co. for the 1820 census, where he appears to have been around 18-25 years old.
