I have been stuck on this name for years! Nancy Fowler and Brooks Clark are listed on the death certificate for their daughter, Eva Lee Clark Allen who died in 1940 and is buried in Snow Camp, NC. I have found Brooks Clark and infant daughter Eva living in Albright, Chatham, NC in the 1880 census without mom. The correct Nancy Fowler is unknown before or after the 1880 census. Brooks Clark is also not found before or after the 1880 census. Does anyone have definite information on this line?

I believe Brooks Clark to be born around 1849. My guess is Nancy Fowler was born in the 1850's and possibly died in childbirth? There are other Nancy Fowler's throughout the census from early years, but none I can tie in with marriage or birth records.
