Does anyone know of a kinship between Solomon Welch(1801) and Isaac Welch (1810) of Chatham NC? Isaac married Matilda Perry. Solomon married a Margaret, and their daughter Mary married Thomas Ward of Randolph (my GGgranduncle). These two Welch men married into opposite sides of my family. Is there is a link between them?

The father of Thomas Ward was William Siler Ward (1811). I have a suspicion he was born in Chatham, although he lived in Randolph in 1850.I suspect this because of the name "Siler", which does not occur anywhere in the Randolph County Ward family. Does anyone have info on him?
