I am a descendant of the Catawba County Sigmon's. George Sigmon b. Feb. 1756 he moved from North Carolina to Kentucky. George died in 1841. My father James H Sigmon was born in Kentucky six generations from George.
What I am wondering I met a James C Sigmon from North Carolina when I was in the service with him 1966-1967 at Ft Irwin. At that time I had no interest in Genealogy but I lost my father in 1968 and now that I have questions there is no one to ask. I have remembered James C Sigmon not because we became good friends but because our names are similar James M Sigmon. He like me should be in his late 60's I'm 69. I now wish I had asked him some questions even if he didn't know the answers.Just wondered what happened to him?
