Was your James Pearce married to Amy Norton 2/17/1789 in Craven Co., NC? If your James Pearce is the son of Thomas, brother to Edmund Pearce, Esq. of Bath County I would love to have a copy of your file also.

My James Pearce was married to Sally McBride. I have a copy of Sally's father's will that mentions her and James.

James' father was Samuel Pearce and James was born in R.I.

I have a John Pierce born in North Carolina in 1772 and died in Campbell County, Tennessee in 1865. He married a Martha ______?________, and had several sons. This is my Pierce line but I cannot find John's parents or any earlier family lines. Could you please tell me is this John Pierce is in your line, and would you please send to me the Pierce data you have if there is a connection. Jean, I have been researching my Pierce/Pearce line for 12 years, and still can't find the parents of my John Pierce, born 1770-1772 in North Carolina. I would love to go over your Pierce data to see if there is any possible conection or disprove your line from my research. There were many Pierce/Pearce families in North Carolina in the 1700-1800's. Samuel Pearce and Betty Simmons son John Pearce, who was a brother to James Pierce may be my decendant. Could you tell me when he was born? My John Pearce was born in 1770, or 1772, or 1775, (depending on which census record you are reading!)but his tombstone says 1772 as the date he was born.My John was born in North Carolina , married a lady named Martha _?_ before 1799, and they had 5 sons.
