After reading all the posts on Festerman/Fespermans in NC, I am hoping someone out there may be able to help me out. I have a ggg-grandmother by the name of Darcus Festerman (have also seen it spelled Fesperman) born about 1828 in NC (according to the 1850 MS census). She died in 1880 in Tate Co., MS. She married Samuel M. Cocke in 1852 in Marshall Co., MS. The only other clue I have is that in the 1850 census she is living with a Mary A. Gordon, aged 29, also born in NC and Mary's husband, and 2 children. I am guessing this may possibly be a sister. I have searched through all the Festerman/Fespermans I can find in North and South Carolina and can't seem to attach Darcus to any of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
