Samuel McNeely & Matilda Templeton are my 4x great- grandparents. My father was Joe Harris McNeely, and his family lived in and around Cape Girardeau for several generations.
My records show that Matilda was only 19 when they married, so it was probably not a second marriage for her, but that it WAS a second marriage for Samuel.
