I am trying to get any information I can on the mill that was operated by Alexander White on Baker's Creek not far from the head of the creek when the area was still called Bethel. It was not far off the Cotton Road, also called Lyon's Landing Rd. The mill had a mill road leading to it, according to old deeds. Alexander White was married to Catherine Bryan, daughter of Joshua Bryan. The land just east of it was once referred to as the Dick Lesesne place, part of the James W. Lesesne family, before Alexander McDowell and his wife owned it and sold it to Harriet Britt.
