Jacob Hoppers was my 3rd great grandfather and was married to Kiziah Landreth. His relationship with Caroline Coombs caused he and everyone around him lots of trouble and grief. You can probably find lots of court and deed records that document the trouble he got into for his relationship with her. The information about Caroline coming from England is new to me. I don't believe Jacob and Caroline ever got married or lived together but I think they lived next door to each other at one time after she had had some children with him. I've never heard that he purchased her. That sounds too far-fetched to me. I do believe, however, that he was the father of all her children. Tim
