Looking for any information on James J. Rivers, son of Dr. James G. Rivers and Jane L. Rhea, who lived in Taylorsville, Alexander County, NC in 1884. I find him as a farmer in Boone, NC in the 1880 census, have his sister, Nannie J. Rivers Autograph Book, which he signed 10/27/1884 listing his address as Taylorsville, NC. The 1900 census shows a Nannie A. Rivers, b. 7/1887) step daughter of Sloan (mother, Eala J., married 1 yr.) - possibly my James daughter? Any information helpful.
