Your Joseph Stout was my great-great grandfather. His son was Franklin Augustus Stout. Frankin's daughter, Nelle, was my grandmother. You can get all my family tree here on ancestry. Family tradition is that Franklin Stout was Native American and was born on a reservation in Alamance county. Do you have any info on this?
