THOMAS BRUMLEY, 1870 census, ALICE M. BRUMLEY

Surnames: Brumley
On the the Concord, Cabarrus County 1870 census there was a 4 month old baby girl listed as Alice M. Brumley. She is the daughter of Thomas Brumley. There is no mother listed.

He is my gggranndfather. I have never heard anything about a prior marriage and child. Does anyone have any information regarding an Alice M. Brumley born in 1870 in Concord, Cabarrus County?

Does anyone know of a marriage of Thomas Brumley before 1870 in North Carolina?

Any help with this mystery would be greatly appreciated.
