I wish I had better news for you. I did not find a birth record for her (not unusual in 1882). but I really expected to find a marriage record and I did not. I looked 1897 - 1907 and Charles Fingar is not listed. (I looked for him because of the more unusual name, there are a million Myers). There are nineteen Fingar marriages listed in those years, but not his. They would have been married between mid 1900 and mid 1905 as Charles is with his family and listed as single in the 1900 census. His sister Mabel's is there (she married in 1907), but not his.
May Fingar's death certificate might include her mother's maiden name - depends on who supplied the information. As you have her date of death and the place, try calling the City Clerk of Utica and getting a copy of her death certificate.
You could also try calling the town clerk of Philmont and asking for the birth certificate for May O. Myers b. 7/4/1884 in Philmont. The obituary could be off on the birth date/place, but maybe not.
