Unless the person is famous, the family pays for an obit. My grandmother did not have an obit. If someone wrote an obit for my uncle, they would have to be part of a secret family.
AFAIK, he was long separated or possibly divorced from the only girl we know he lived with (a person named Rosalie). Neither my sisters nor I remember him with children.
He lived with my grandmother (his mother) for many years. Once she died in 1991, no one ever heard from him again, including his sister (my mother).
I do know that he worked at Drake's bakery for some years. Unfortunately, the company was shopped around to a number of large food companies and is now defunct.
