I DO have a birthday of May 24, 1936, which I believe I found on an SSI search, where I also got a death date. But I don't know if this is truly him. So I am looking for some other verification info.

Since Ancestry doesn't have birth certs from NY City for the 1920's and up, I can't see if this birth date would match a cert with the correct father and mother. I guess I can contact the NY agency for birth certs, but will they do a search that includes mother/father?

Does anyone know if LDS might have this info?
