Found some photos and cards among my late aunt's (Betty Bensh of Astoria) possessions that are connected to Frank Machera. The first photo is ID'd on the back as Frank Machera. The other 2 photos just have Frank written on the back of them, but it looks like it is the same man as in the first photo.

Some of the greeting cards look like they were drawn personally by him for my aunt. Others have the company name - Genie Gems and Taterbug on the back - possible he may have worked for them. My aunt worked as a cashier at many locations in NYC (Schrafts in 1957). The Winky reference is to her and her sister's (Eva Bensh) parakeet named Winky.

I know my aunt had a friend re-paint portraits of my grandparents as a gift to my grandmother in the 50s or 60s and am thinking Frank may have been the person who did this. I also found an invitation to my parents wedding (Aug, 1957) that was addressed to Betty and Frank.

I have no further info at this time.
