I'm looking for Daniel DAILY b 4 May 1803 in New York. He died 1889 in Ontario, Canada. The birthdate is from the Canadian death record on Familysearch. Canadian census records list place of birth as New York. A death record for his dau Mahala specifies he was born in New York City.

What records might be available to search for the birth of Daniel Daily in NYC in 1803?

This is my first foray into NY research and any help to locate Daniel Daily in NY from 1803 - 1831 would be greatly appreciated.

He seems to have been naturalized in Canada in 1831 and he married Elizabeth BENSON b 1806 d 1877. They had several children to include: Jane Ann, Nelson, Mahala, Napolean.

If anyone else might be researching the Daily or Benson families who moved to Northumberland, Ontario Canada in early 1800's I'd be happy to exchange what information I have.
