Could someone please help with finding information on James Joseph Miller, apparently born in New York USA in 1868, parents Thomas and Bridget nee Connors (probably migrated from Ireland).

James Joseph Miller arrived in Australia as a ship carpenter about 1889 and he spent the rest of his life in Australia.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
