Looking for a Nevin family orginally from County Clare Ireland that worked on the Erie Canal around 1848 or so. Looking for information that would verify that he worked on the canal. Any link that helps me get info on the Erie Canal. His wife's name was Berigget (nee Hoban) and had two children born in Utica...Anna and Joseph.
