Looking for information on my Wallis and Parker families. Tille Parker moved to Nunda and then Pike New York between the 1800 and 1810 census (had been in Vermont prior to that). Tille and his wife Miriam Wallis Parker moved there with his 5 children ( Joel, Tille Jr., Marron who might be Marion, Philena, and Susanna, these we know for sure, there may even have been an Emily) and their 3 (Lucius, Jane and Mary Elizabeth called Betsy). Tille died about 1815 and Miriam married Ira Murray and had 5 more children (Allen, Austin, Charles, Daniel, and Emily). Miriam's brother Danforth (Danford) and her father Joseph Wallis (also spelled Wallace) also migrated from Vermont at the same time. There may even be another Wallis brother ( we think) named James. Danforth seems to have lived out his life in the Pike area. Miriam and most of the children migrate to Illinois in the 1840s and 1850s, Susanna Parker married Jeremiah Doty and ends up in TN, Joel Parker becomes a well known preacher in New York City, Lucius Parker also a minister ends up in Galesburg Ill. Jane and Mary Elizabeth marry ministers as well. Trying to find out Joseph Wallis origins (his wife was Ruth Mills who seems to have died in Bethel Vermont prior to their coming to New York). I have only one souce on Tille Parker origins as well. Does this family sound familiar to anyone?
