I recently found a photo of an envelope that Abendroth and Brothers of Port Chester received from New York City in 1850. You can see the envelope on the Philatelic Genealogy website at http://philgen.org (from the Main Menu, select Search Database and enter Abendroth).

Do you know the first name of this person and is Abendroth the correct spelling of the family name? Can you provide a census, city directory, or similar reference for this person? Do you know the person's date of birth or death, or name of the person's father, mother, and/or spouse (if any)? Please contact jim@philgen.org if you have any of this information. Persons providing information can add their name to the Data Entry line for this envelope at Philgen.org (at your request).

This is a folded letter. The original letter still exists, although I do not have a copy of the original letter.

The reason I have a photo of the envelope is because of my interest in using old envelopes and postcards in genealogical research. Several articles on philatelic genealogy are viewable on Philgen.org (http://philgen.org, look in the Main Menu for article titles).
Thank you, Jim Miller
