Could someone help by looking up a will or guardian record for a Mary Townsend? She was taken in by a Townsend family after her father died when she was 3 months old. Her mother died shortly after. The father d. in August 1818, but do not know if his last name ws Townsend or another surname. Ifhe left a will he named his daughter Mary E. but if not, a guardian was probably named for her which may have been the Townsend guardian. Mother's name unknown, but both parents were b. in NY.
