Benajah Brown, b. 1749, d. May 1822. Buried in Poundridge, NY. Married Sarah Weed. He was a RW soldier. He is mentioned in The American Revolution, Some Bulkley and Brown Ancestors, by Helen Bulkley Brown Gilfoy, 1979, however the children of Benajah and Sarah are not mentioned. I would like to obtain the names of the children and will be happy to share information.

One child of Benajah BROWN was an Elizabeth Brown who married Matthew HOYT.

The father of William Brown that married Suzy is not known for sure. He could very well be. William is buried in Poundrige, NY also...

I am still trying to tie into this family. It is the strongest lead that I have.

I am returning to the genealogy of my husband's family. Here is some information about Benajah and Sarah Weed Brown. Children: Benajah, Abigail, Jotham, Mary, Nancy, Sarah, Weed, Silas, James, Elizabeth, Seth, Rauh. Benajah married Sophia Bishop. They settled in Renns. County. Their children were: Elizabeth b. 3/23/1801 d. 10/24/1874; Anny b.1/22/1800; Rebecca b. 11/15/1802 and Joseph 12/7/1804. Elizabeth 3/23/1801 married Isaac D. Potter 4/8/1786 RI d. 12/1877. Elizabeth and Isaac resided in Saratoga County and are buried in Middle Grove Cemetery. One of their daughters..."Dollie" Elizabeth 8/3/1835 married William Nelson Parker on 3/25/1851. He was born 1/3/1826 in Saratoga. They are direct ancestors of my husband. Perhaps this information is useful to you...although many years have passed since your posting.
