My grandmother was Augusta DeSilva, she may have lived in Westchester County as she died in New York City in July 1924, was buried in Kensico Cemetary in Valhalla, N.Y. The funeral was under the auspices of the Frank Campbell Funeral Home. I have been searching for a long time for any record or possible family of hers. At one time in her life she worked at Cornell University, I believe in the Food Service area. Her husband was, I believe, of Portugese decent but came to the States from the West Indies. I'm not sure if her husband was my grandfather or if she had a former husband or perhaps an out-of-wedlock baby. Since she was so young (about 25) I am not sure what the situation was, also she was a German Immigrant and therefore communication was very difficult. If any of this matches any information you have, I would appreciate the opportunity to exchange information. If not, I would appreciate a reply so I will know how to pursue further. Thank you, Lois Richards
